Emma is a Senior pursuing dual bachelors’ degrees in Urban and Regional Planning (BS) through the College of Social Science and Social Relations and Policy (BA) through James Madison College. In addition, she is currently dual-enrolled in her master’s program in Urban and Regional Planning and is the president of a microfinance student organization at MSU. Her work includes projects tied to the Resiliency Planning and Financial Resiliency pillars of the CERI initiative. She is interested in the intersections of planning and policy to promote resilient and just 21st-century communities and regions. She hopes to re-structure existing community and economic development policies to address historically and contemporarily marginalized and oppressed communities' economic, environmental, and social needs in the spirit of shared prosperity for all people.
