Co-Learning Update
Co-learning plan proposals were due on the 25th of January, and we received many unique proposals from an assortment of authors! REI will now begin the selection process with help from our Consultative Panel. Visit the Current Projects page on the REI website this summer to download copies of the 2013 co-learning plans, full of information on how to create new economic development tools and policies in your region or community.
In the News
On January 24th, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, supported by the South Central Michigan Works!, presented the Entrepreneurial Vision Award to an REI network member and inventor, John Hopkins. John has invented a number of medical manufacturing products, and with the help of other inventors started the Jackson Inventor Network. Congratulations John! Click here to read more on MLive.
One of REI's Student Led-Faculty Guided projects was featured in an article by the Lake County Star. A group of Michigan State University Students are teaming up with the business owners and citizens of Idlewild, a historic African American resort community, in order to revitalize the area. The Innovate! Michigan Summit will be held in September at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing, and REI is looking for Inventors to share their innovative products.
