This Co-Learning Plan will focus on developing a framework for a comprehensive entrepreneurial training and support program that will provide relevant and applicable skills to ex-offenders, thereby enabling them to become a positive economic force for their local communities. Not only does such a program have direct benefits to the communities where ex-offender entrepreneurs are living and working, but the state of Michigan benefits through reduced recidivism resulting from stable employment and reduced costs of re-incarceration.
