Senior Planner, Spalding DeDecker
Cassi Meitl, AICP, PMP is a Senior Planner at Spalding DeDecker Associates, where she is leading a new planning team from the Detroit office. She joined the firm after spending three years with Detroit Mayor Duggan's Administration on the Jobs and Economy Team and two years with DTE in the Public Affairs Department. At the City of Detroit, she was collaborating with City boards, agencies, City Council, and neighborhood organizations on job-creating Public Private Partnerships and navigating development challenges. At DTE, she was leading power plant redevelopment strategies and supporting Beacon Park and the downtown corporate campus development plan. Cassi has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from Michigan State University with a Graduate Certificate in Community Engagement, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Illinois State University. She was in the Urban Land Institute Larson Leadership Program in 2019 and a Challenge Detroit Fellow in 2016.
