The EDA just announced its Economic Recovery Corps (ERC) program, a new funding opportunity designed to strengthen the capacity of local economic development organizations nationwide. The ERC will identify and place fellows in local economic development organizations, adding resources to improve economic resilience and competitiveness in distressed regions across the country. EDA is seeking applicants to build and form a national fellowship program to support two key activities: Technical Assistance: which would enable communities to access funding and participate in economic development programs and initiatives through preparation, training, and implementation assistance; and Knowledge & Insights: Study, organize, and disseminate information, data, and analysis to accelerate the adoption of future-focused economic development principles and practices. Additional details on the ERC can be found by clicking here
