About CERI

As we continue with these unprecedented public health and social justice crises it’s important to take action and to create a systemic resilience approach. With collaborative partnership from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administrations (EDA), and to advance Michigan’s long-term economic recovery from COVID-19, the Michigan State University Comprehensive Economic Recovery Initiative (CERI) was established to help carry on our mission to help Michigan communities.

CERI’s will partner with communities in these four strategic areas: 

  • Resiliency Planning  

  • Financial Resiliency  

  • Circular Economies  

  • 21st Century Communications Infrastructure   

Opportunities with CERI 

CERI is here to provide education, training, technical assistance, and research in partnership with hard hit communities and regions in Michigan through June 2022. We are seeking experts through our network to identify, create, and implement innovative and effective strategies to break down barriers of inequity. You will choose one of the four opportunities with CERI’s Technical Assistance Projects:

CERI will fund 8 to 16 projects per year for a two-year period up to $5,000 per project!
