The REI University Center will hold its fifth annual Innovate Michigan! Summit on Wednesday, September 7. Past years have seen more than 150 attendees from all over the state, including economic developers, entrepreneurs, business developers, and academics, as well as members of state and federal government.

This year's Keynote will be delivered by Johnathan M. Holifield, former NFL athlete and founder of ScaleUp Partners, which connects local leaders with underserved and economically disadvantaged talent. Mr. Holifield will be presenting a compelling model for new economic narratives and community systems that provides more inclusive economic growth opportunities. The Summit will also include a Higher Ed Panel, in which higher education professionals will discuss the importance of university-community partnerships and lessons they have learned through their careers.

REI will once again partner with the Michigan Inventors Coalition (MIC) as they host their 4th Annual Michigan Inventors Expo, featuring inventors and their products from around the state! This year's Expo introduces two "Spin, Pitch & Sell" sessions; for more information, visit the MIC website.
