REI would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2015 Innovate Michigan! Summit on September 10. The Summit brought together more than 140 economic development professionals, government officials, university partners, and many others. Nailah-Ellis Brown, founder of Ellis Island Tea, gave an excellent keynote address, speaking on her experiences as an entrepreneur and how she overcame the many challenges she faced. A dozen ideas submitted by the REI network were rated by attendees on how relevant, useful, and innovative they found them to be. The top-rated ideas will be brought to the REI Consultative Panel, to be discussed as potential Co-Learning Plan topics in our next solicitation.
